Dress For Success Success!!!

Thank you so much everyone for participating our Dress For Success drive. We were able to donate 6 large boxes filled with much needed items. When we contacted Cecilia and Lora from DFS they told us that although they receive lots of clothing, they always run out of accessories. We said, no problem.

Thanks to you we were able to donate dozens of bags, shoes and clothing too! We were told they can serve up to 30 clients a day. They offer personal shoppers and provide support before and after the interview process. "We do our best to give the women that come to us as much help as we can to build a great first impression so they can find a job"  said Cecilia Executive Director. It has been a strange summer to say the least. Super hot days in July and record rain in August have put this summer in the record books. To end the summer of 2011 with a bash, we have a hurricane! But it is sad to say, summer is ending and Labor Day is approaching which always signifies the beginning of the school year. For some, like Souderton School District, it begins August 29th!

To celebrate the kids going back to school and offer a moment of "mom sanity" Chantilly is having Breakfast at Chantilly. Not really breakfast but a time to join us for coffee, danish and relaxation. August 18, 19 & 20 Chantilly Floral Boutique will be hosting a Bead Party! We have sterling silver and glass beads from three main manufacturers; Chamilia, Trollbeads and European Beads. Most of these jewelry pieces are interchangeable. Our customers tend to mix and match and just have fun. What seems to be the new trend is sharing beads with friends, siblings and children. There are just so many to choose from. If you find yourself around town, stop in and join the fun.

Vera Bradley Birthday Celebration!

Today we are celebrating Vera Bradley's 102nd Birthday. All day long, we are offering different specials, a release of the "100" Handbag, Cake and more. What is most fun is the Vintage Vera Contest. We asked our customers to bring in the oldest pattern that they still have. What we didn't expect was the sheer enthusiasm. We even had a customer in her Vera Bradley Tee!  

The news in the papers has been a little dark lately and this little birthday has cheered some people up. So, Happy Birthday Vera Bradley it is the perfect day for a celebration.
